Writing on reverse begins: "St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Sakonnet, R.I..." Further historical information written on reverse. Little Compton Portuguese immigrated from the Azores starting in the late 19th century.

Color photomechanical postcard. Photograph of the "Casino" at Sakonnet Point in Little Compton RI. There are advertising signs on the building. This building had different hames and uses: Clambake House, Fo'c's'le Restaurant, dining hall, Pavilion, movie house, bowling alley and variety store. There are people and a horse and wagon in front of the building. The building was destroyed in the 1938 hurricane.

Black and white photomechanical postcard. Photograph of Sakonnet lighthouse at Sakonnet Point in Little Compton RI. Sakonnet lighthouse was built in 1883/1884 on Little Cormorant Rock. The lighthouse began service November 1, 1884 and ended service in 1954. In 1961 Carl and Carolyn Haffenreffer purchased the lighthouse at auction for $1,300. They donated the lighthouse to the Friends of Sakonnet Lighthouse in 1985.

Color photographic postcard. Photograph Sakonnet Harbor with the Fo'c'sle Restaurant at Sakonnet Point in Little Compton R.I. Printed on the back of the postcard " The Basin at Sakonnet Point is an ideal p;ace for swimming, boating and fishing. Fishing boats unload at the pier creating an interest for adults and children. It is a haven for boats caught in a storm. In the background is the Fo'c's'le a good place to dine and a landmark at Sakonnet Point". The Fo'c's'le Restaurant was demolished in 2006 and the Sakonnet Point Club was built on the site.

A few fishing boats in the harbor. The hotel was torn down in the 1930s and the remaining building were washed away in the 1938 hurricane. 1909 postmark.

Black and white photographic postcard. Photograph looking North from Little Compton RI Commons from a location at the beginning of South of the Commons road. At the left is the Congregational Church, the Town House,Large barn with a cupola and weathervane, stonewalls and a telephone pole. Behind the barn is a building was once a general store of Bliss & Cowen. Also, Dr. Cowen had and office in the building. Later the building was moved to Grange Avenue. On the right are elm trees and part of a building. On the back of this postcard is written "the Meeting House on the left is the house of Henry Brown adjoining his store a Post Office, with old town hall upstairs over the store".
