One of nine pages that when put together, make a color map of Newport county. This page features a large green land mass that is identified as Tiverton and Little Compton. Along proper left edge is the border of Massachusetts and "BRISTOL COUNTY". A small part of pink land is visible along proper right edge. In black at proper right: "BAY". Back of map reads: "Photostat/by/ New York State Library/Jun 25 '46". There is a small "6" on the back in pencil.

One side has a map titled in upper proper left: "MAP OF/NARRAGANSETT/BAY/AND ADJACENT TERRITORY/Showing the Points of Interest/for Excursionists, Tourists & c." The map is surrounded on all sides by various advertisements for jewelry, stoves, plumbing, printing, fireworks, and furnishings accompanied by illustrations. At lower proper left corner of map: "Drawn by John C. Thompson", below this is the maker's mark. Verso of map has four large advertisements.

Top edge of map is attached to a wooden strip that has metal hooks holding a cotton tie for hanging. The wood has been painted black. Old #1976.53.
