Foot officer's sword from the Civil War. Leather wrapped grip with twisted wire. Intricate detailing on brass D-guard consisting of a pierced floral pattern. Upper quillon is forward-swept into a scroll design. Straight blade with intricate leaf and scroll design on fuller surface. One side of fuller surface reads "US", and opposite surface of fuller near hilt "Ames Mfg. Co./Chicopee/Mass."

Double barrel, 10 gauge shotgun with long wooden stock. Double barrel is metal. Metal trigger guard and trigger. Wood near trigger and under barrel has a carved small check pattern. Metal is browned or burnt rather than blued. Shotgun is marked on both sides: "J. MANTON & CO."
